After upgrading my "Flip4Mac WMV Studio" to version 2.1.2 I can no longer compress and publish WindowsMedia videos, what do I do?
-Flip4Mac WMV Studio version 2.1.2 seems to cause problems with eZender. We are investigating this and working on a fix. In the mean time please use Flip4Mac WMV Studio version 2.1.0, it is available on http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_previous.htm.
What kind of Flip4Mac license do I need to automatically compress and publish WMV files on a Mac?
-You need to download and purchase the "Flip4Mac WMV Studio" license from Telestream®.
I am using Navicast eZender on a Windows PC, can I use Flip4Mac WMV Studio?
-No, Flip4Mac WMV Studio is only available for Macintosh computers, but since you are using Windows you can manually compress your movie to WMV as a separate file and attach that when you are publishing your movie with eZender.
Where are the compressed movies stored on the local computer when publishing movies with eZender?
- If you are running Windows XP you will find them in
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_ACCOUNT\Application Data\Navicast\eZender\CompressedMovies
- If you are using a Macintosh computer you will find them in the folder
~/Library/Preferences/Navicast/eZender/CompressedMovies/
The Navicast movies do not play on my computer?
-To be able to play all Navicast movies you need QuickTime 7 or later installed on your computer. It is available as a free download on http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
What kind of movies can I drop on, and publish with, eZender?
-In general you can drop any movie that QuickTime will play, this includes DV, Motion JPEG, AVI*, Mpeg-4, 3GPP, QTVR, Flash* etc. For a complete list visit http://www.apple.com/quicktime/player/specs.html
I have published a movie, why doesn't it show up in the player?
-If you have published the movie with a Basic user account an Advanced or Administrator user must Approve your movie to make it viewable in the channel. If you have published the movie from an Admin or Advanced account you just have to Approve your movie to get it in to the channel.
