Instead we want you to be able to put all your energy in to making your web TV channels the best they can be. Thats why we have no per viewer fees, no per movie fees and no per user fees.
We offer a clear licensing model that we hope will provide suitable solutions for both small, medium and large companies and organizations in different fields.
Navicast® Solution, System and Software License Agreement
The Navicast Channel Solution and Navicast System Solution licenses are time limited licenses that lets the owner access, manage and utilize a hosted Navicast Channel or hosted Navicast System during a limited time. The Navicast Channel Solution and Navicast System Solution licenses are subject to server storage and internet traffic costs that may or may not be included in the license fee.
The Navicast Channel Solution license gives its owners a time limited right to:
Access, manage and utilize one hosted Navicast Channel with HTML-player, mobile-player and preZenter.
Add up to five users accounts for video publication to, and management of the channel (unless agreed otherwise).
Publish videos to, and manage videos in the hosted Navicast Channel using any of user account that is provided in the Navicast Channel Solution.
Distribute the hosted Navicast Channel and players freely to an unlimited number of viewers. Navicast holds no per movie or per viewer license fees.
Distribute and install Navicast eZender on up to five computers (unless agreed otherwise).
Get free upgrades of all included Navicast parts during the license period.
The Navicast System Solution license gives its owners a time limited right to:
Access, manage and utilize one hosted Navicast System with up to ten full channels with HTML-player, mobile-player, preZenter, RSS-feed, podcast/vodcast. (unless agreed otherwise).
Add up to ten user accounts on the Navicast System for publication to, and management of, videos, Channels and the hosted Navicast System (unless agreed otherwise).
Publish videos to, and manage videos in, the channels of the hosted Navicast System using any of the user accounts that are provided in the Navicast System Solution.
Distribute the hosted Navicast Channels and players freely to an unlimited number of viewers. Navicast holds no per movie or per viewer license fees.
Distribute and install Navicast eZender on up to ten computers (unless agreed otherwise).
Get free upgrades of the Navicast System and all included parts during the license period.
The Navicast System Solution subscribers are not allowed to:
Sell or rent out the Navicast System or any of the channels within the Navicast System Solution to a third part.
The Standard Navicast license gives the license owner the right to:
Install and run a full Navicast System with one Navicast Channel on a server connected to the internet or intranet.
Distribute the Navicast Channel freely to an unlimited number of viewers. Navicast holds no per movie or per viewer license fees.
Add an unlimited number of users (publishers) to the licensed Navicast system as long as the users belong to the license owners own organization.
Freely distribute and install Navicast eZender to an unlimited number of computers as long as the computers belong to the license owners own organization.
License additional Navicast Channels to be added to the licensed Navicast system. These additional Navicast Channels can be used and distributed in the the same way as the default Navicast Channel.
The standard Navicast license owner is not allowed to:
Add any users (publishers) to the system that do not belong directly to the license owners own organization.
Distribute or install Navicast eZender to computers that do not belong directly to the license owners own organization.
General Navicast Solution, System and Software License Agreement, applies to all Navicast licensing models above.
The Navicast license is a legal agreement between its owner (you) and Barsark AB for the usage of the Navicast Solution or software system and all or any of its parts (the Navicast Solution or System or Navicast), which includes "online" or electronic documentation and computer software and associated media and printed materials and internet services. By installing, copying, or otherwise using any part of the Navicast Solution or System, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license. If you do not agree to the terms of this license, you are not authorized to use the Navicast Solution or System or any of its parts.
Navicast is owned by Barsark AB and protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. Navicast is licensed, not sold.
Navicast is a registered trademark of Barsark AB.
No Navicast license owner may use or utilize the Navicast Solution or System with Navicast eZender, the Navicast players or any other part of Navicast in a way that is not clearly stated in their Navicast license above.
Non Navicast license owners may not distribute, install or use Navicast or any part of the Navicast Solution or System at all unless it is clearly stated, in this license, that they can do so.
Non Navicast license owners may install and use the Navicast eZender application for usage with a licensed Navicast Solution or System, but only if they have been instructed to do so and given a valid Navicast username and password from a Navicast license owner.
The Navicast license owner is always responsible for all content that is published and distributed with the Navicast Solution or System. Barsark is never to be held liable or in any way responsible for any of the content that is published, distributed or in any way managed with the licensed Navicast Solution or System.
It is always the Navicast license owners responsibility to see to that all publication, distribution, copyright, image, music and other content rights or licenses for all published, distributed and managed content are cleared. Barsark is never to be held liable or in any way responsible for any lack of publication, distribution, copyright, content or licensing rights.
It is always the Navicast license owner that is responsible to see to that all content that is published, distributed or managed with the Navicast Solution or System does not in any way break any laws or regulations. Barsark is never to be held liable or in any way responsible for publication, distribution or managing of content that may or may not be illegal in any way.
The Navicast Solution or System with Navicast eZender, Navicast Players and all its parts may not be distributed or used for any other purposes than what they were designed to do within a licensed or subscribed Navicast Solution or System. Navicast eZender, Navicast Player or any other Navicast component may not in any way be distributed or used as a stand alone product or as a part of a non Navicast product or service.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Navicast Solution or System or any of its parts, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
Navicast relies on QuickTime to encode and decode media. QuickTime and the QuickTime Software License is not included or a part of Navicast. QuickTime and the QuickTime Software License is provided and distributed separately by Apple Computer, Inc.
Barsark AB expressly disclaims any warranty for the Navicast Solution or System or any of its parts. The Navicast Solution or System and all its parts is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire risk arising out of installation, use or performance of the Navicast Solution or System or any of its parts remains with you.
In no event shall Barsark AB or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Navicast Solution or System or any of its parts, even if Barsark AB has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Barsark AB's liability ever exceed the license fee paid, if any.
